Run the race
Run the race. Literally, God has called us to run the race as believers in which we are meant to seek after a righteous standard of living. Most importantly, living a life that glorifies and honors God; with the intention to draw as many people as we can back to our Father.
As I discuss races, I am glad to share that I actually ran my first 5K this past Sunday 4/21/24. If you have been following me on my health journey you know that I’ve lost 30 pounds in the last 3 months! Though I’ve been working out for years and consider myself an athlete, my career, life, and daily trials and tribulations led me to gain more weight than I ever have. I thank God for helping me to tap into my potential deeper and greater than I ever have before. Thanks to my fitness coach, my mindset has shifted and I move my body 7 days a week, no excuses. It is important that we take care of our temples and that includes our physical bodies.
My goal time for my first 5K was 12 min and came in at 11 min and 50 sec! I started at a 16/17 min pace on 3/9/24 after not running for about 8 years! I am thankful for God, that He has given me vision for my life and has helped me to find excellence in every area: Mind, Body, and Spirit = The 3 Pillars! I am also thankful for the support system that I’ve been blessed with from my family, friends, and fitness coach! God is so good and I am on to training for my next race on June 8; my first 10K! After that my first half marathon will be in September and lastly I will be training to run my first marathon in 2025.
I encourage you to watch my most recent live on insta @bryagp in which I share more about my first 5K race that I ran successfully! I also dive into my upcoming book “Embrace the Wait” being released June 3rd. Lastly, I share more about season 3 being released on my podcast tomorrow @restoringrelationships_rr titled “The 3 Pillars: Mind, Body, & Spirit”.
God is so good and all I can do is give Him all of the glory for all the good in my life! I hope that my journey is both encouraging and inspiring for you to live your life to the fullest and excellently!
Remember: ”Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.“ ~1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NIV
